At the velodrome

UPDATE! Thank you so very much to all our supporters.. 7,500 views so far, almost two hundred followers on Twitter, facebook stats to follow soon.

Welcome to Team Lardy Boys blog where we will be updating you on our End to End challenge bicycle ride in aid of Manchester Childrens Hospital and The Firefighters Charity.

Team Lardy Boy have completed many cycling challenges both at home and overseas, but never on this scale or for such good causes.

On tour, Majorca

The blog will bring you a blow by blow account of our daily activities and will be a fly on the wall look at how 4 friends get lost, cycle without speaking and sulk, only to kiss and make up over a well earned beer at the end of the day, because next day it starts all over again!!

Watching the Tour de France

The route from Lands End to John O’Groats will take in some of the most spectacular scenery this island has to offer, including the Cornish Coast, Welsh valleys, The Lake District, Scottish Islands and Highlands. As part of the challenge we will be sampling local produce, so its Pasties in Cornwall, Cumberland Sausage in the Lakes, Haggis and Whisky north of the border and everything else in between.

Time Trialling

A typical day will probably include a light breakfast, several lunches and a big evening meal with plenty of fluid intake (essential for recovery). If you want to see how we’re getting on or leave any messages of support, please feel free to drop in. We’d love to hear from you all.

Lastly, if you want to help us raise funds there is a link to our Virgin Money Giving site, and if you’ve already made a donation many thanks.
